Lectures, workshops and summer schools, in English
Everything I do in French exists in English. I have delivered these sessions in Croatia (Cres and Osijek summer schools, Zagreb with the French Embassy and UNICEF), at the French International School of Hong Kong and at the Lycée français de Berlin.
Formats
- Fake News and Critical Thinking: why are we so easily influenced by fake news? The flagship lecture, from age 10 to adults.
- Critical Thinking & Media Literacy for Education Staff: a teacher training: misleading news, cognitive biases, fallacies, the iron man and the principle of charity.
- The Impact of Misinformation and Conspiracy Theories on Democracy: an academic lecture (Cres Summer School): defining conspiracy, the three links between conspiracy beliefs and politics, anomie, conspiracy as a rhetorical weapon.
- AI, between threat and hope: deepfakes, micro-targeting and the liar’s dividend on one side; detection, NLP and augmented fact-checking on the other.
- Finding Clara: an interactive investigation about bullying, created with the French Institute of Croatia, available in English.
Each session ends with the same thing as in French: participants keep access to the whole collection of games until the end of the school year. Most games exist in English.
